Day 1
Arrive Cape Town, transfer to  Grootbos Nature Reserve, driving along spectacular coastal mountain passes.
Day 2-5
Four full days of cage diving with the Great WhiteShark in "Shark Alley", a narrow channel between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, home to some 60 000 Cape fur seals. The the natural hunting ground  of the Great White Shark.
Day 6
Depart Gansbaai for Cape Town - where you will:
-  cable car to top of Table Mountain
-  visit Cape Point Nature Reserve
-  visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.  Depart for HOME!

CAPE PREDATORS

Day 1

Days 2-3
Two full days of diving. Wreck diving on one of the many wrecks around the Peninsula and dives with the playful Cape fur seals and with  penguins.
A final dive is followed by a three-hour drive along spectacular coastal mountain passes and arrival at Grootbos Nature Reserve in Gansbaai.
3 full days and one morning spent in "Shark Alley", a narrow channel between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, home to 60 000 Cape fur seals. This is the natural hunting ground of the Great White Shark.
Drive back to Cape Town after lunch on day 8 and fly home.

SHARK BONANZA
NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA

12 days. This is the ultimate in shark diving.
3 days in the Cape with the Great White,
5 days with Hammerheads, Raggies, Zambezi and Tigers in Kwazulu-Natal.

Dive Qualifications:
On this safari certain  dives are restricted to  advanced sports divers only.
Bring:
7mm semi-dry or a dry suit; regulator, BCD, mask, fins can be hired or bring.
Diversions - if weather should turn foul:
Museums, art galleries, antique shops, theaters, coffee shops,  shopping; Cape winelands; snorkel for abalone/crayfish; Danger Point; whale watching from June - October; Cape Agulhas, tip of Africa; Grootbos Nature Reserve on horseback; Natal beaches and resorts offering golf, tennis, horseback riding; Wild Coast casino.

Arrive Cape Town. Visit Table Mountain, Cape Point, Chapman's Peak Drive, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
A full day of diving. A wreck dive on one of the many wrecks around the Peninsula, either the western or eastern seaboard. A dive among the playful Cape fur seals.
A final dive is followed by a three-hour drive along spectacular coastal mountain passes and arrival at Grootbos Nature Reserve in Gansbaai.
2 full days spent in "Shark Alley", a narrow channel between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, home to 60 000 Cape fur seals. This is the natural hunting ground of the Great White Shark.
After a final dive with the ultimate predator of the deep, we fly to Durban and transfer to Margate on the south coast.
Four dives on the fabulous Protea Banks -  free diving with Raggies, Zambezis, Hammerheads, Tigers and even the odd Great White. Can be 100 sharks in water at any one dive. Transfer to Umkomaas.
Two days and one morning of diving on Aliwal Shoal or Protea Banks Shark. Explore the wreck Nebo (1884) or the wreck Produce (1974) and then join Natal Parks Board see work on beach protection.
Travel by microbus to Johannesburg for your return flight home.

This 12 day dive safari offers one week of tropical diving at Sodwana and one week in the African bush with the Big 5 - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino.

Dive Qualification:
All level of certified sports divers.

Day 1
Arrive Johannesburg International Airport and transfer to Sodwana Bay, a six-hour drive in airconditioned microbus.
Days 2-5
Five days of diving on the magnificent true coral reefs of Sodwana. Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles laying eggs on beach (Oct - Feb). Explore St Lucia Wetland Park.
Days 6
Drive through Kingdom of Swaziland,  visiting glass and candle factories, and on to White River near the Kruger National Park.
Days 7-10
Two days of  in the Kruger National Park to look for the Big 5.
To Londolozi Private Game Reserve - game drives in open 4x4 vehicles or tracking on foot with armed game ranger and tracker. Night drive looking for leopard.
Days 11-12
Early morning game drive. To Pilgrim's Rest, old town from gold rush days. Blyde River canyon and other sights of Mpumalanga.
Drive back to Johannesburg International Airport and fly home.

Day 1

Days 6-7
Phinda Private Game Reserve. Game drives to see Big 5 in open 4x4 vehicle. Sunset cruise on lake & river. Night game viewing.

Day 8
After morning game drive, depart for Manguzi/Farazella border between "two countries' into Mozambique to Parque Malongane.
Days 9-11
Six or seven dives - night dive depending on weather. Good chance of seeing the gigantic whale shark.
Days 12-13
Maputo, capital city of Mozambique for lunch. Drive back into South Africa. Visit Blyde River Canyon & other scenic places in Mpumalanga. Next day back to Johannesburg International Airport for flight home.

Drive to Cape Agulhas, tip of the Africa then inland thro' wheatlands to the start of the Garden Route and to Mossel Bay.
Two dives and a night dive (weather permitting). Whales calve in the bay (Sep-Nov). Great Whites,  seals on Seal Island, and schools of Hammerhead sharks.
Scenic steam train ride on "Outeniqua Choo-Choo" from George to Knysna
 - a quaint village on Knysna Lagoon.
Two dives - around Knysna, with seven sites. Bruce's Banks,  wreck of Paquita (1903),  rare seahorse Hippocampus capensis.
Dive two of six reefs off Plettenberg Bay. Grootbank, Virgin, and the Playground are huge reefs with fantastic sealife.
Two dives at Knysna or Plettenberg Bay.

Featherbeds Nature Reserve: Knysna Forest looking for elephants: over Outeniqua Mts to Oudtshoorn - ostrich farms & Cango Caves.
Days 14-16
Along Garden Route, through Tsitsikamma Forest to Shamwari Game Reserve - look for landbased big 5. Night and early morning game drives in open 4x4 vehicle . After brunch on final day, fly home from Port Elizabeth.

Morning dive followed by a three-hour drive along spectacular coastal mountain passes to Grootbos Nature Reserve, Gansbaai.

Drive to Cape Agulhas,  tip of African continent.  Head inland thro' wheatlands to to Knysna - a quaint village on the lagoon.

Game viewing in Kruger National Park, Manyeleti Private Game Reserve & stay in Honeyguide Tented Safari Camp.  Night drives and early morning drives, bush walk with ranger and tracker.
After a last game drive in big 5 country and  brunch, transfer to Johannesburg (approx. 5 hours)  for return flight home.
