The tiny volcanic island of Bali is one of the most physically beautiful and culturally rich places in the world. The balmy climate, lush green ricefields and lavish productions of the Hindu - Balinese cultural calendar never fail to charm visitors.  The island of Bali was shaped by the action of volcanoes, which produced the rich black soils that nourish Bali's beautiful and productive rice paddies. Just 8 - 9 degrees south of the equator, Bali is always warm, a mean 27.2 degrees. Humidity is at a constant 75%.
Against the dramatic backdrop of three volcanoes and luxuriant green rice fields surrounded by the deep blue of the Indian Ocean, Bali is an ever enduring exotic festival of colour, spices and pageantry of coral walls and colourfully assorted fish life. Accommodation is at one of Bali's premier resorts and spas, right on the water's edge - discover Mimpi Tulamben.

Diving :

The water temperature in Bali is a comfortable 23 - 26 degrees.
The Liberty Wreck - Just 30 metres from the beach, is a  World War I cargo ship stretched along 100 metres of sloping sand. She ran aground in 1942, where she stayed until 1963, when the volcano - Gunung Agung exploded and pushed the Liberty off the beach, splitting her hull in two. As you descend, you are met by a colony of spotted garden eels, swaying in the current. Your welcoming committee is made up of several species of snubnose, chubs, sweetlips, parrotfish and sergeant majors. Electric blue neon damsels stand out vividly against the black sand and rocks. The black sand bottom around the wreck makes an excellent background for fish photos. The hull of the wreck has lots of large holes, making it easy to explore the vessels innards. The treasures of Tulamben are in the hundreds of species of fish that have become semi - tame and used to divers. Other fish that are regularly sighted on the wreck are tuna, bonito, emperors, jack, rays, huge wrasse, filefish and barracuda. Oceanic sun fish have also been spotted but this only happens on special occasions. With a bit of patience, you can get close to the skittish coral and foxface rabbitfish. Many of the cleaner stations around the wreck offer a good show. The cleaner wrasse will also indulge the occasional diver's teeth , but you are in for a long breath hold. A night dive on the Liberty, at full moon will be one of the most memorable dives you will ever make. Flashlight fish, hundreds of red eye shrimp, sleeping parrot fish, lionfish, map puffers and unicornfish.
Tulamben Wall - is a good coral wall just off the eastern end of the beach. The wall has a tremendous variety of fish life and the wall is  known for its rare species, including the beautiful comet. A fish with elaborate finnage and a false eye spot which helps it mimic the spotted moray eel.
Napoleon Reef is a flat topped underwater mound, It rises to about 5 metres short of the surface. The reef is covered with sponges and corals including the great table - top. Cuttlefish are often seen at this site and occasionally mantas are seen feeding across the reeftop.
Other dive sites include Kubu drop off, Amed, Menjangan Island.

Kararu Dive Voyages sails from the majestic island of Bali to one of the world’s most diverse and interesting marine and wildlife parks. The Komodo National Park is a world heritage site. This remote and unchanged part of Indonesia offers unique natural beauty both above and below the sea. The Park is home to a rare diversity of animals, including a population of some 5,000 Komodo Dragons. Our cruises incorporate a half-day walking tour, into the forests of Komodo Island to see the prehistoric dragons in their natural habitat. However, it is under the water that experts have come to accept that this world heritage site, the Komodo National Park offers such an inexhaustible array of marine life that they now believe it one of the centres of global marine bio-diversity.

Whether you are making your first trip to the area, are a seasoned traveler to the region or an avid photographer our guides will lead you to secret places and reveal the minute details only people intimately familiar with a destination can. We are dedicated to details, both above water and below. With over ten year’s experience in these waters our dive masters bring not just knowledge but an enthusiasm to their work that is infectious. Tropical diving at it’s very best.

Our 7 night unlimited-diving cruise departs from Bali by express ferry to the small island of Gili Meno. Guests can either opt for a few days before or after their cruise exploring either Bali or Lombok above or below water. The cruise sails past some of the most dramatic volcanic ranges in the world and guests are treated to a feast of wildlife both above and below the water. Whether it be discovering new underwater critters in the Komodo National Park, walking in the forests of Komodo Island to see the Jurassic dragons, watching a sea eagle swoop from a cliff face to make a catch or exploring a remote white-sand beach; our cruise promises a true adventure.

Our 11-night cruise is aimed at the diver who wants to spend more of their holiday underwater. The trip starts and ends in Bali and again offers unlimited daily diving. However, the extended schedule allows you to spend more time diving the sites of the Komodo National Park and exploring the unique diversity of wildlife in this region.

Whether opting for a 7 night or an 11 night cruise, Kararu Dive Voyages takes pride in adding a new dimension to your diving. Dedicated to showing our guests the details of this stunning underwater world, Kararu Dive Voyages guarantees that your holiday will be a mind opening experience.
