DIVEMASTER COURSES
 Take the first steps on the professional path of diving with the
Divemaster Course.As a certified Divemaster, you may supervise and assist with both training and non training dive activities in a variety of environments. Dive Centres and Resorts employ Divemasters to help with classes as well as lead guided dive tours off boats or the shore. You may also conduct the Discover Local Diving experience and Scuba Review programme for certified divers. Nondivers may also enjoy a visit to the underwater world under your supervision during Discover Snorkelling experience and Skin Diver course. 
 A comprehensive programme in three main phases:
Watermanship, Knowledge Development and Practical Application
Develops knowledge & watermanship skills to instructor level
Qualifies you to assist PADI Instructors with students in training, and to conduct the Skin Diver, discover Local Diving and Scuba Review programmes
To get hands on experience with students and divers, you will serve an internship which will give you the experience to deal with the responsibility of a Divemaster. The course is divided into academic lectures and pool sessions for Divemaster Candidates - times can be arranged to suit your needs. Courses can start any time, according to your schedule. The hands on experience involves:
* assisting on one Open Water Dive Course and one other dive course of your choice
* establish emergency plans for dive emergencies
* mapping a local underwater environment

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The goals of the PADI Divemaster Course are as follows: To enable the candidate to organise, conduct and supervise diving
activities, both land and boat based. To enable the candidate to act effectively as an instructional assistant to a certified PADI Instructor. To develop the candidates theoretical diving knowledge to a level sufficient
to become an Instructor. To encourage and prepare the candidate for Instructor Training.

DIVE COURSES DO NOT INCLUDE :
- Items of a personal nature: swimming gear, towels, protective lotions
- Personal equipment, i.e. masks, snorkel, fins, weights and weight-belt
- Wetsuits are not included, but are however available for hire -
- Transport to and from Dive Travel Centre, Bass Lake and Sodwana Bay
- Entrance fees to: Bass Lake R40 plus R10 per vehicle/trailer, Sodwana R20 gate entrance, R5 Community Levy, Parks Board R35 per day
- Meals and snacks - trips are generally self-catering (enquire about fully catered package if required) |
