Pangkor Laut resort has been built to encompass two
bays. Royal Bay and Coral Bay offering accommodation in the form of superbly appointed
villas, uniquely designed and constructed on stilts which gives the resort the look of a
typical Malay village.
The villas are traditionally furnished with rich timbers, woven bamboo ceilings and
luxurious fabrics and positioned throughout the resort, providing a choice of locations.
Accommodations :
ROYAL BAY
Royal Bay Hill Villas are perched dramatically on the hillside amongst the rain
forest affording spectacular views of beautiful tropical gardens, the sea and the larger
island of Pangkor beyond. The villas are constructed in double story units with two rooms
on the lower and two rooms on the upper floor. The rooms on the upper floor offer a huge
deep bath with huge windows opening out to private views of the rain forest and the rooms
on the lower floor have baths that are situated in a beautiful courtyard. The Royal bay
Hill Villas are reached either by steps or with the only lift in the island to the top of
the hillside.
Royal Bay Garden Villas are
scattered throughout the foot of the hillside and set amongst the beautiful tropical
gardens. The structure of these villas is exactly the same as the Royal Bay Hill Villas
but with easier and shorter access to the many facilities at the resort.
Royal Bay Beach Villas ( 8
villas) are clustered around the gardens within a few steps of the white sandy beach. They
are structured in one level, two unit buildings and all have a private outdoor courtyard
bath.
Royal Bay Sea Villas (21
villas) are uniquely set on stilts over the sea linked by wooden boardwalks. These villas
offer beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding islands with en suite bathrooms and
huge bath surrounded by windows which can be opened out to spectacular private views.
CORAL BAY
Coral Bay Water Villas are positioned on stilts over the emerald green sea and
linked by a wooden walkway. The rooms are slightly smaller than those of Royal Bay, but
furnished with the same furnishings and amenities. the en suite bath is smaller, but is
surrounded by windows and the bathroom has a shower.
Coral Bay Family Villas are
located a few steps from the beach amidst the tropical gardens and offer ideal family
accommodation with two separate bedrooms, each with a king size bed. The bathroom has a
single vanity and a shower only.
All villas offer the following amenities:
King size bed, writing desk and sofa, private bathroom, wc and shower. All have a
bath except the family villas. The large baths are either in private courtyards with open
roofs or within the main bathroom with large windows which can be opened with private
views of tropical gardens or the sea. All villas have thermostat controlled air
conditioning, they have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, phone
and safety deposit box. They also feature compact disc players, with discs being available
from the library. A balcony with loungeur complete the picture of complete relaxation
within the privacy of the guests own villa.

Fisherman's Cove: located at Coral Bay, an intimate restaurant nestled
along the shoreline, offers the finest selection of seafood.

Chapmans Bar at Emerald Bay: excellent light lunches, sandwiches, salads,
