SIMILAN ISLANDS (CLICK HERE for more info on trips to these islands)
Centrepiece of all liveaboard trips. Nowhere is diving more varied and colourful than here. 9 Densely wooded islands lying north to south. Gorgeous beaches with fine talcum powder-like sand. East side diving is on sloping hard coral reefs and shallow coral gardens. West side has huge granite boulders creating caverns and swim-throughs. Soft corals cover everything, huge seafans and bright tube corals ass to the orgy of colour. Plus - fish and more fish! few places on earth offer as much variety and enjoyment. Look up from time to time so as not to miss Whalesharks and Rays cruising overhead. Also hideouts of some rarer species such as Ghost Pipefish, Jawfish, Frogfish and Ribbon Eels.

SURIN ISLANDS
All covered in rainforest they are grouped closely together. Favourite divesite is Turtle Ledges. One can observe Hawksbill Turtles and juvenile Batfish and Ghost Pipefish.

RICHELIEU ROCK
This world class divesite is known as the place to see Whaleshark. Swimming along with these huge fish is any divers dream come true. This rocky outcrop also offers Mantas and is covered in soft corals which attract fish. Every imaginable variety of fish is here including the shy and rarely seen Shovelnose Ray or Guitarfish. Observe mating rituals of Cuttlefish or photograph Golden Morays. Watch schools of Barracuda swim by while thousands of colourful Fusiliers swirl around the rocks. This is a truly special place.

HIN DAENG AND HIN MUANG
Two rock formations close together. Impressive divesites, a series of pinnacles and walls covered in soft corals. Plenty of big fish are attracted to these rocks : Jacks, Barracuda, big Tunas can be seen at all times. Grey Reefsharks wandering Whalesharks and Mantas commonly seen.

BURMA (CLICK HERE for more info on trips to Burma)
Different assortment of sharks and stingrays as well as a good assortment of small and semi-rare creatures such as Ghost Pipefish and Razorfish. Reefs are rocky with hard corals and some sponges, fans and soft corals. Westernmost region is where the sharks roam; Silvertips, Grey Reef, Whitetip, Bullshark - a wonderful variety. Nice big schools swirl around rocks and Stingrays rest on the floor. There are hundreds of deserted coves and bays fringed by white sandy beaches. Come and explore!

FANTASEA liveaboard package :

Today’s live-aboard divers have very specific wishes and expect that a good boat has private, air-conditioned, sleeping quarters, hot water showers, a nice salon and above all extensive facilities for underwater photographers.   These include large fresh water rinse tanks, wet and dry camera worktables, E-6 slide processing and light tables.

fantasea1.jpg (5890 bytes)

M/V Fantasea is one of the few vessels in Thailand that offers these amenities.  And more.  What makes a live-aboard special is its crew and we are proud to say that we have the best.   Well-known underwater photographer Mark Strickland is our Cruise Director.   He, plus a divemaster and seven fellow crewmembers look after a maximum of 15 guests.
With that kind of a crew-passenger ratio one can expect top class service. Thanks to her speed m/v Fantasea is one of the very few boats that can visit several far flung dive sites in one single cruise.
