DAHAB
Known internationally as a summer and
winter resort, the Red Sea offers some of the best locations for diving activities in the
world. A breathtaking coastline of sun-drenched beaches and crystal-clear water make it a
favourite among divers and travellers alike. Nesima Hotel and Diving Center is located in Dahab, a bedouin village situated on the
Eastern coast of the Sinai peninsula.
Dahab's picturesque landscape, its
spectacular mountain ranges and golden palm fringed bays make it one of the most beautiful
locations in all Sinai. Nesima Resort offers the opportunity to create an individual
itinerary for your holiday, combining accommodation, diving, excursions and transfers.
Nesima Resort is located in the small, picturesque town of Dahab, South Sinai, along the
coast of the Gulf of Aqaba. Only 90 km north of the international resort and airport of
Sharm El Sheik, Dahab offers the diver and non-diver alike the famed delights of the Red
Sea combined with the striking geography and history of Sinai.
Dahab has a moderate climate all year round
which makes it the perfect summer and winter diving location. Its fresh breezes make it a
small paradise, even during the hottest summer months. Temperatures range between 16-28°C
(61-82°F) in winter and 28-38°C (82-100°F) during the summer. The water temperature
ranges from 28°C in the summer to 21°C in the winter, creating a tropical environment
for the abundance of corals and marine life which has made the Red Sea one of the best
dive destinations world-wide.
The surrounding landscape of Dahab is breathtaking, with the rugged mountain skyline and
palm tree beaches. The local area offers various places of interest that can be visited by
Camel or Jeep. Dahab still holds its own atmosphere and character that is unique. You will
experience while walking along the beach front, lined with coffee houses and bazaars, the
radiant color, jumble, noise and aroma, all that makes up Dahab.

Guided shore dives, led by one of our
Divemaster or Instructors, depart twice daily to one of the many sites along the 20km
stretch of pristine Sinai coastline.
Checkout Dive: This dive aims to refresh those who
have not dived within the last six months by undertaking a skill circuit and completing a
scuba tune-up questionnaire. Having completed the skills review, customers experience the
splendor of one of the local reefs.
THE BELLS / BLUE HOLE:
One of the premier dives sites here in Dahab is the Bells, a spectacular wall
dive of amazing beauty. The open water here is some of the clearest, deepest blue you will
see. The wall itself descends down into the blue to an incredible 1800m which only adds to
the anticipation experienced when emerging through the chimney. Waiting for you at the end
of the dive is the awe inspiring Blue Hole, just perfect for a relaxing safety stop.
THE CANYON:
The Dahab Canyon is the classic canyon, an essential dive for all fanatics of
caves and cavern diving. Up to 10 metres deep and virtually closed over at the top, it
snakes its way up from the depths, to emerge in a large glassfish filled coral dome, the
fish bowl.
THE ISLANDS:
An underwater maze of spectacular coral gardens, this dive site is renown for its
enormous range of vividly colored corals. Weave your way through the meandering passages,
swim with the resident school of barracuda and play with turtles and other marine animals
which reside in this divers haven.
THE LIGHTHOUSE:
Offers a number of different dives depending on the route chosen. The sprawling
coral gardens offer an abundance of marine life and vividly colourful corals, extending
far from the shore. The wall and the sprawling coral gardens, which extend far from the
shore, offer varying depth ranges making it suitable for all.
EEL GARDEN:
This is a gently sloping wall dive to suit all levels of divers and offers easy
entry and exit through a shallow sandy lagoon, home to several lion fish. As the name
suggests there are numerous garden eels that can be seen opposite the wall in the white
sloping sand bank.
RICK'S REEF:
Is a pleasant drift dive following a meandering wall covered in numerous
varieties of corals.
RAS ABU HILAL:
'Headland of the crescent moon'. It refers to the crescent shaped reef about half
a kilometre south of the Canyon. The reef encircles a shallow lagoon at about 12 metres. RAS
